So, I had a revelatory experience, what I felt was a moment “in” Truth while under the influence of a psychedelic drug. How did it change my life? Was it even real?
That moment opened me to perception’s all-encompassing potential. It instilled in me an intuitive sense of connection to all of Life imbued with genuine empathy toward myself and others stuck in the drama of egoic interactions. It left me with a profound need to establish my consciousness in that unlimited domain. It informed me that drugs are not the way and led me to a Self-realized Master who could show me how. It led me to Paramahansa Yogananda and his path of Kriya Yoga.
Fifty years later – I know who and what I am and why I am here. But I am not anywhere near enlightened enough to lead anyone on this path, only point to it. I am a seeker like you. Purpose guides my activities, and that purpose is to realize Truth in a way that I am absorbed into it. So, was this experience real? It was as real as I have made it. It answered my question and will forever serve as my polestar.
